Our second project becomes a reality!!!
YPF project's second-born has taken shape and, in our opinion, is displayed in all its glory.
This time we have created a racket with a constant profile and 22 mm thickness, forming a 100 sq. inch head with a 16/20 string pattern.
The glossy finish and carbon look give the racket a shine and brilliance that make it recognizable at first glance.
All rackets are numbered to give the customer the exclusivity of the product which, as per our project, is designed to be custom-made for the end-user.
A very manageable and precise racket with a string pattern that is not designed as a spin machine, but which, with its 100 sq. inch head, does not compromise on power without losing precision and control.
Very stable on returns and at the net, also thanks to the particular polyurethane foam with which it is filled; it does not vibrate and consequently limits the negative vibrations that could reach the joints.

The bending inertia diagrams of the racquets highlight the difference in the general behavior of the two frames. The S series has a general bending stiffness of 62 RA points compared to 70 RA points for the H series, but the key element to note is that the stiffness of the hoop is similar for both series, giving a full and very solid feel to both racquets.
The S series shows a more progressive and linear behavior, with stiffness progressively decreasing from the shaft to the racquet head, while the H series has a more aggressive behavior that differentiates the lower part from the upper part for a greater stiffness differential from the head to the handle.
The difference in character between the two racquets makes the H series more suitable for powerful hitters and players looking for pronounced spin, while the S series is for those who like to vary their shots and play with great feel, bearing in mind that both frames are designed for competitive play with a strong pro-stock spirit.

Our dream comes true: YPF100 custom
This racket is the result of a project started a couple of years ago in search of a frame that met three main requirements:
- it had to be custom
- it had to have a vibration damping system
- it had to combine power, comfort, and feel.
The research and testing were not aided by the situation, but despite the difficulties of the period, we managed to complete the first important step, hoping it will not be an isolated incident. We already have other frames that we are testing and that could see the light soon, and we have been testing them for some time.
It is a project made with passion and the desire to create something of our own, and we were good and lucky to find suppliers who followed and indulged our perhaps somewhat uncommon requests.
I must thank Gabriele for this first goal achieved, for his competence, knowledge, and sharing of ideas and objectives; he is an integral part of the result obtained.
But this is a starting point because whether our idea and our work have been positive will depend on the judgment that our products, not just the YPF100, receive from you... I am confident...
We tested it and had it tested by various people, including some professionals; the feedback we received was all very positive, and we look forward to hearing yours...

I am starting a new professional journey, INFINITE is my string brand.
A lot of time has passed since I first strung my racket with a manual counterbalance machine, taking over an hour, and making many mistakes and blunders while interlacing those strings, about which I knew absolutely nothing.
Now, after some time, I have chosen which ones were worth branding INFINITE and making them available to all tennis players, striving to provide them with the best possible string for their needs.

Donnay, the historic Belgian brand associated with the successes of champions like Bjorn Borg and Andre Agassi, has made a powerful comeback after several years of oblivion that had caused it to disappear from the spotlight.
The new Donnay production, coming from the USA, is characterized by very personal models with strong "character," all highly distinguishable and different, if not at first glance, certainly in substance, from what is available on the tennis racket market.
The subject of our analysis is the pair of what could be called Donnay's "tweener" rackets, specifically the Donnay Formula 100, aerodynamic rackets with a 100 sqr inch head size. A true classic of modern production… but as we will see, they stand out for characteristics that make them unique and peculiar.

The two models differ in terms of weight and balance, but show different values for moment of inertia and therefore propulsion capacity.
The HEXACORE has a higher SSW-swingweight value, giving us the sensation of holding a livelier and more reactive, yet more demanding, racket.
The PENTACORE, with a lower SSW-swingweight value, is definitely easier to maneuver, more agile, and progressive.
Of particular note is the TWW-twistweight value, which is higher for the PENTACORE version. This should translate into greater stability on off-center shots and excellent performance in generating spin.

The difference in terms of flexibility is limited and concentrated in the lower part of the frame, specifically on the shafts, where the higher stiffness of the HEXA-CORE version highlights greater rigidity in the shaft structure and a flexpoint concentrated below the bridge.
The PENTA-CORE version, on the other hand, shows extremely uniform flexibility, allowing this frame's behavior to be compared to that of a wooden stick, without concentrated or emphasized flex points.
From the analysis of the static stiffness data of the stringbed, both models exhibit a VERY WIDE AND HOMOGENEOUS RESPONSE, suggesting EXCELLENT TOLERANCE FOR OFF-CENTER SHOTS, good stability, and spin generation.
The sweet spot size is truly very large and ensures a benchmark in response consistency.
The rackets, in their two different models, feature the same string spacing system as well as the same grommet and bumper system.
The stringbed response is essentially similar in static terms for both the PENTACORE and HEXACORE models.
On paper, the two DONNAY frames are substantially similar, both aesthetically and in terms of physical-mechanical properties, but their difference lies within.
The FORMULA 100" rackets are characterized by a different dynamic and playing response due to the distinct internal cell structure within the section.
The PENTA-CORE version is mellower yet progressive, stable, and spin-oriented, targeting players seeking an extremely versatile, maneuverable, and usable racket even at intermediate-low levels.
The HEXA-CORE version is more demanding, aggressive, and reactive, appealing to players who love to hit winning shots and close out points, being able to handle a slightly higher but by no means prohibitive inertia.
The expected response on serve is also the same.
Do you like to work the ball with slice and kick? Play into the corners and find tricky trajectories? Then the FORMULA PENTA-CORE might be your choice.
Do you like to break through and hit hard? Hit powerful aces? Then the ideal solution might be the FORMULA HEXA-CORE, which will be able to satisfy your power demands.
Be careful because from a purely "morphological" point of view, the shapes are typically aerodynamic, but appearances can often be deceiving……
In essence, these are not truly aerodynamic rackets, as the response remains soft, comfortable, and elastic, characterized by a level of comfort absolutely unknown to a large portion of products on the market; all coupled with a unique and unrepeatable sound and vibration, typical of old-school boxed rackets.
Fundamentally, the two FORMULA 100" rackets are a crystal-clear and pure expression of the DONNAY philosophy, where substance forms a fundamental part of the designs and comes to life in the soul of the frames.
Two different nuances on the same theme that invite an on-court test, because to experience certain sensations, it is absolutely necessary to feel the difference, enjoy the sound, the vibrations, and the feel of the shots, impact after impact, ball after ball.

At first glance, the new MANTIS 100" PS-III series racquets appear entirely similar in shape. Were it not for the different livery color and different lettering, they might seem like two chromatic versions of the same racquet.
But let's look in detail at the common elements and the differences, thanks to the analysis carried out with the help of the pro-t-one racquet-lab and pro-t-one swing-lab.

Very similar in general shape to the previous version, the MANTIS 100" 300g as well as the 285g are clearly distinguished by new, very aggressive and extremely attractive graphic designs that reinterpret the colors of the previous series with a new "verve," introducing blue for the lighter series and clearly distinguishing the smaller from its older sister by the choice of electric blue.
The quality of construction and assembly is absolutely remarkable, as is the level of painting, the application of decals, and the general quality of the frames.
One of the differences that can be appreciated from the frame's finish is the type of carbon used for the frame's surface finish.
In the case of the heavier frame, the use of a "braided carbon 2K" fabric is evident, while for the 285g, the visible carbon is unidirectional.
The choice of using a "carbon braided" fabric for the heavier model is absolutely aimed at better vibration absorption, a softer impact feel, as well as a progressive and full response typical of this type of material. In contrast, the use of a drier, livelier, and more reactive material for the "little one" at 285g is motivated by the desire to give vitality to a lighter and more accessible basic frame that should not be underestimated and can rightly be considered an excellent basis for customization.

From the analysis of the static stiffness data of the stringbed, both models show a VERY WIDE AND HOMOGENEOUS RESPONSE, suggesting EXCELLENT TOLERANCE FOR OFF-CENTER HITS, good stability, and spin generation.
The performance differences between the two models are minimal and highlight a truly very wide optimal impact zone that allows maximum tolerance in all playing conditions, as well as top-level power and spin generation.
With this type of data, it is possible to emphasize the versatility in string choices and combinations, which leaves all avenues open for using multifilament and hybrid combinations, especially recommended for the lighter model, as well as stiffer or softer polyesters, depending on one's playing level for the 300g model.
The rounded and very regular shape, the string spacing, and the grommet design help to find an excellent combination of sensitivity, feel, spin generation, and power in a very balanced combination, as is MANTIS tradition.

Although the two racquets have the same shape, they are distinguished by nuances and general attitudes, also from a structural point of view, during the mass lamination phase.
They are NOT simply the same frame with added weight in the handle, a solution used by many manufacturers, but are in fact two different racquets with a flexural behavior that reflects the placement and position of the carbon layers.
The MANTIS 300 PS-III is stiffer at the head and more flexible at the base, unlike the MANTIS 285 PS-III which, on the contrary, is stiffer at the bottom and then allows for greater flexibility in the upper part of the oval.
The difference in perception is subtle but appreciable and results in two different playing feelings that, in both cases, guarantee excellent ball connection.

The 300g, already an excellent competition racket, can accompany competitive players of any level but also appeals to casual enthusiasts given its remarkably high level of comfort and enjoyable impact.
The 285g is an ideal racket for enthusiasts, intended for junior players in development as well as competitive female players looking for a performing and lightweight racket.
For both, don't forget the possibility of more or less heavy customization for those seeking a tailor-made tool that maximizes playability, spin generation, or rather a cannonball that blasts through the tarpaulin!

Speaking of the DONNAY brand, one cannot help but recall the iconic figure of what for years was the world's largest producer of tennis rackets, the legendary and timeless Bjorn Borg.
